I think this will possibly be the worst post I have ever posted. It is
certainly the most angry/awestruck/dumbfounded/shocked/bewildered/Insert
any other word of shock induced anger.
I have played Merentha for the best part of 4 years now, I've seen Viresse
come and go, I've seen our admins remain shadowed more and more, I've even
complained about bugs not being fixed/updates not happening.....Now after
listening to you all, my friends included I finally understand why - To all
the admins I take back every single comment I ever thought questioning your
commitment and distance from the player base...I truely understand why.
And why? Because we are nothing but a bunch of whiners that no matter what
they do by us its never good enough, its never enough and if they _dare_ to
fix a bug that benefits us, then god help them for the fallout from us.
Ever wonder why Jewel and Feyr refused to use the updates command or tell
you what was being changed? - just watch the lines for a few days and you
will see.
Aedrin has come in and fixed a lot and maybe follishly told us what and why
- what has this resulted in? Complete outrage and complaints from every
one. A potted history of his fixes if we please.
People Complain Vekrith/Me/Holan are unpkable because we have in excess of
200 scales - they change scales and people complain.
All classes except Fighters complain about the rus, shout bug....he fixes
it - fighters complain.
People complain there is too much money in the game, he alters teh items in
areas to tehir _value_ as per the rules that are set out for
builders.......guess what, you all complain.
Necros are just poor chainers...we get pestilence - guess what we do?
Nobody ever sails anywhere, the sea is pointless...too many scrolls stone
mages arent used enough/lose their advantage..the stones are changed (not
sure which admin changed them)....yes we cry again
Coding errors are fixed in mobs - I think Holan died 3 times by it...did he
complain? to my knowledge no, did everyone else....hell yes.
Dreamweave and Scales got changed - I die, did I complain? No. Why?
because it helps sorcs xp and why should I be unkillable?

The list goes on and on, I believe now, that all the admins are working in
the _spare_ (after work, kids etc) time they have available to improve the
MUD for us. Look what we have recently?
Their is sitll some lag, but nowhere near 3 years ago

New areas

Im droning now, but its at least off my chest. All of you take a second
and ask what you see a downgrade as? Should Wizards really have endless
mp? (and realise it was your colleagues that complained about it). Every
single bug fix, is a downgrade to somebody, just because you have had a bug
for x amount of time or like it, it doesnt make it right.
Do you want to drive Aedrin away?, because if I was in his shoes right now,
I'd be at the point of saying (use your imagination, I like my character)
to the lot of you, because there is no reward to the work that all of our
admins have put in.
To the admins Ive seen of late Thankyou. Petrarch, Jewel, Aedrin, Iced,
thankyou for this _free_ game that we all spend a large portion of our time
on, Thankyou for the work you do behind the scenes to keep it running.
Mostly thankyou for stinking with such a whiney bunch of brats...We should
all be ashamed of ourselves.
That is all.

| Well, Adam requested a moderator change to the Myspace Merentha Group, and instead they just deleted everything and made me a moderator....So...yeah...
Anyone that was in that group has to sign up again...

| There is a new hall in Haven, north of the square. Copy of Whitestorm board, kingdom boards, and a bar in the high mortal area. The elite part has sonic orbs and elite salve, a 3rd bank storage, an elite board, treasury, and viewing pool (mirror).
Also, the rogue rings from calamyr will work properly again.
